Come and read! 📖
This year I’ve opted for a minimal approach to my reading area. Less is definitely more and I’m hoping this will generate regular interest in the books I choose to display. I’ve also bought a forward facing shelf to make it easier and more appealing for children to select their books. As well as a magazine holder for comics and other reading material. I’m hoping to use the fully decidable comics from Phonics play comics to enhance my reading provision.

Eid mu-baaa-rak! 🐑
These cupcakes were so much fun to make. It’s been a while since we’ve baked and H thoroughly enjoyed baking these for her cousins. Hope you all have a lovely Eid everyone! 🌙

“She believed she could, so she did!”
R.S grey
My top phrases for creating a growth mindset:
💫 you can do it
💫 you’ve got this
💫 I can see how hard you’re trying
H now repeats these to me when She sees that I’m struggling with something. It’s usually when I’m driving and I’m lost!
Never under estimate the power of the way you speak with your child. What you say and how you say things can impact the way they behave for the rest of their lives.
If you’d like to see more and no about growth mindset head over to

Happy Friday! 🌸 🌼🌺
Sometimes taking a little time out to paint, colour or draw with your little one can help them to feel emotionally content.
I often find that if I start my day by spending quality time with H she will then be happy to occupy herself for a while whilst I complete any jobs.
For H anything craft related it right up her street so we draw, paint or colour.
Which activities does your child enjoy? How do you fill their cup? Leave a comment below! 👇🏽

Onto the next chapter.
Sad to see my doors close but excited for what’s to come. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and believed in me since the beginning. Taking the plunge from teaching to become self-employed was always a risk but it worked out and I am so glad I did it. Being able to raise H and watch her develop and build friendships has been the best thing ever. Now to make the most of these last few moments together before our new lifestyle begins. I’m so excited to head back to teaching and watch H go to pre-school!

Today was an emotional day! Our girl A left us and I officially closed the doors! Thank you to all the families who have trusted me to raise their precious babies. It’s been an honour and privilege to care for you all.
A, I can’t believe how much you’ve grown. Thank you for bringing us so much joy and for being the best sister to H. This isn’t goodbye it’s see you later as I know there’ll be play dates to come. 💕
We’ll miss you dearly.

I spy…something Spring! ⛅️
I’ve seen these I spy recycled boards knocking around on the gram lately so I made one of my own. The girls really enjoyed taking it in turns to identify colours in nature. 🌹🌳🌼🌸🪵

This “I Spy Ramadhan” Ramadhan sheet made a perfect discussion tool to discuss all things Islam. The children enjoyed colouring in the various pictures too.

Magnetite Moon 🌙
Inspo:
We used our magnetic tiles to mosaic a moon. The children had great fun looking through the different colours into the garden.

Gratitude. 🤲
Yesterday we thought of things we are grateful for. We listed these on our prayer hands and prayed “Alhamdullilah” (praise be to God also translated as thank God).
We explored the book “Amma’s Market” and looked at all the wonderful things we could buy. This helped remind us to be grateful for all in our lives. 🤲
