Lots of beautiful colouring and excellent pencil control 😀 🚀🚀🌟✏️

The children had lots of fun exploring the space table and following the pictures to make space rockets with the foam blocks.

The children loved looking at the solar system on the space table, looking at the different sizes of planets and making them move around using their hands.
We all enjoyed singing "5 little men in a flying sauce"

We looked at space rockets 🚀 and how the travel super fast up into the sky and into space!
We all crouched down on the floor and then counted backwards from 10.....when we got to 1 we all jumped up with our arms in the air and shouted "BLAST OFF!!!" 😁😁😁🚀🚀🚀

The children painted cardboard tubes to make their own space rockets 🚀

The children have loved learning about the planets of the solar system!

We looked at the different colours and the differences in the planets, we counted 8 planets in our solar system.

Learning about the planets in space promotes curiosity, imagination and introduces early science, it helps the children to understand the world and for them to recognise that Earth is special. It is our planet that we live on and that we must look after it 🌎🪐🪐

Last week we learnt about space!!
We have talked about the different planets and looked at there colours, we counted the 8 planets that are in the Solar System.
We sang 5 little men in a flying saucer and Twinkle Twinkle little star.

We have enjoyed playing with the water tray with the ducks, as one of our favourite songs at circle time is 5 little ducks 🦆🦢

We have celebrated World book day, looking at different books, we talked about how we need to look after books, we looked at how all books are different, some have words, some have pictures, some are big and some are small, some are story books and some books are to help us learn.

We have celebrated mothers day and the children made some lovely cards for their mummy's. ❤️❤️

We have celebrated St Patrick's day, gluing, sticking and painting a Leprechauns, the children have been on a coin hunt around the garden after the cheeky Leprechaun had hidden them.

Lots of fun playing inside and outside with our friends 😊 ❤️

We had a very busy February!
We looked at birds, all the different types of birds, the different colours of birds and how some are big and some are small.🐦‍⬛🐦🦜

We celebrated valentines day and the children made some beautiful valentines cards to take home with them.❤️❤️

We looked at towers and castles and ready some books that had a castle or a tower in the story, the children enjoyed imaginative play using blocks, towers and happy land figures to make their own stories.

We have enjoyed lots of fresh air in the garden playing with our friends 😊
