On Monday, our full day children enjoyed the lovely weather and went to sit outside for a picnic lunch!

We have had a lovely day today with Role & Play Mini City. This term, the children could choose to play in the fish and chip shop, at the beach, in the salon or at the mechanic garage. They played so well showing that they have truly developed their play skills, communication skills and turn taking skills.

Yesterday a group of our Pre-School super stars went on an adventure to Blackburn Empire Theatre to take part in the Festival of Friendship organised by schools within our cluster group. They were very excited to get on the mininbus (thank you to Shadsworth Junior School). The children danced and sang to the song 'Golden' alongside friends from Turncroft Nursery School. They were all amazing and really enjoyed taking part. We would have loved to take everyone but unfortunately, there wasn't the space for us all.

After watching our butterflies grow from tiny caterpillars, the children have explored how to make their own. Here are some amazing examples of creativity! Why not have a go yourself at home.

Ending the half term with a beautiful sunny day and a lovely refreshing ice-pop to help us keep cool. Happy half term everyone!

There's lots happening at the Family Hubs and Children's Centre's over May half term. No need to book, just turn up! Lots of the activities link nicely with our learning at nursery over the last few weeks so it is a great opportunity to find out what your child knows already.

Last week we said 'goodbye' to our butterflies. Two were released with our morning children and two with our afternoon children. It was fascinating to see them up close and then watch them fly away. We hope they come back and visit us soon!
