Last week, Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Witton Park as part of their Geography fieldwork, where pupils used maps to direct one another through Blackburn.
We were incredibly impressed by their excellent map-reading skills, teamwork and confidence when following and giving directions. A huge well done to all of Year 5 for representing the school so brilliantly.
Miss Dwyer and Miss Harris were very proud of their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the morning! ⭐👏

Date for Your Diary: QEGS Open Day

Join us for the annual Queen Elizabeth's Primary School Open Day on TOMORROW, from 10am.

The Primary School will be open for tours, Headteacher presentation, and the opportunity to speak with our teachers and ask any questions you may have about life at QEPS.

As this is our only Open Day of the year, we encourage prospective families to come along and discover what makes QEPS such a special place to learn. We look forward to welcoming reception pupils who may join us in September 2027.

Current QEPS families are also invited to spend the morning with us, chat with your child's teacher, explore the classrooms and see the exciting learning environments where your child learns and grows each day.

🌟 We are so proud of our EYFS pupils, who have settled into the QEPS family brilliantly! 🌟

Year 4 are learning about The Silk Road within our history topic, Early Islamic Civilisations. We set up the room like a silk road, and pupils moved around researching the items which were traditionally traded at that time. They especially enjoyed smelling the herbs and spices!
