My youngest student (age 6) has been coming for regular lessons for 2 months now, every week we do something new and engaging to keep her from getting distracted as this can be the main challenge with younger pupils.
This week she has surpassed expectations and we have now started moving onto 2 octave scales for technical work along with an increased focus on reading treble clef.

Every week she practises each day for at least 10 minutes and it shows, very soon we will be looking at the grade 1 syllabus and putting in for her first exam 😱

Bravo! 🎶🥳🎹

Another week over at @shakermakerblackpool bringing music education to the heart of Blackpool! 🎶🥳 This time the sun has appeared☀️😱 we still have a few midweek slots available (primarily during school hours) for Guitar, Bass, Keyboard and Violin however if you ask about availability we may be able to accommodate somewhere. Let’s continue to make a Fun & safe creative hub in the centre of Blackpool 🗼🎶🥳

Hope all pupils and parents had a good half-term, just a quick post to let you all know I only have 2 midweek after school slots left available along with Saturdays 11:30-1pm. 🗓️⏰

If you or your child are wanting to learn an instrument then be sure to get in touch, if I cannot provide tuition for a selected instrument or lack the availability then I will try to point you in the direction of someone who can. 🎹🎸🎻

I’ve started writing an educational book on the subject of ear training which I’m aiming to publish as my own contribution to fellow teachers and students alike, this will play a vital part for me obtaining a masters in music teaching from ABRSM 📖
