Ready to develop your practice within a senior or leadership role?

Our SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 9 is designed for those already working in a senior position within the childcare sector ☺️

The qualification allows you to build on your existing experience while developing areas such as leading practice, supporting colleagues, promoting children’s wellbeing and taking greater responsibility within your setting.

As the qualification is completed through your role, you’ll use evidence from the work you already do to connect theory with real leadership practice - with regular support from your assessor throughout 🎓🙌

Loose parts are open-ended materials that children can move, combine and use in many different ways!

A stick might become a fishing rod, a ribbon could become a river and a cardboard box could be transformed into a boat. With no set outcome, children are free to follow their own ideas, test possibilities, solve problems and use their imagination 💭

Throughout our qualifications, we support learners to understand the value of loose parts and how thoughtfully chosen resources can create meaningful opportunities for child-led play and learning ⛵

Our SVQ in Sports Coaching at SCQF Level 6 is tailored to the sport you want to coach ⚽🏀🥊

You’ll develop your skills through real coaching practice, covering areas such as planning and delivering sessions, supporting participants, reviewing performance and creating a safe, positive environment.

Working in Early Learning and Childcare sometimes means being prepared to get a little muddy! 🙌

A great practitioner brings patience, care and enthusiasm - but also a willingness to get involved, follow the children’s lead and enjoy the moment alongside them.

It’s often through joining children in their play that practitioners build strong relationships, encourage curiosity and create meaningful opportunities for learning. These are the skills and qualities we help our learners develop throughout their qualifications ☺️🎓

Children often return to the same play, story or experience again and again - and there’s a good reason for it!

Repetition helps children practice skills, test their ideas, make connections and build confidence. As practitioners, it’s important that we give children the time and space they need to revisit experiences and develop their learning at their own pace ☺️
