Today, Mrs Ayres Book Nook was officially opened at Lilypad in the park, surrounded by her family, colleagues and friends.

This beautiful space has been created in loving memory of Mrs Karen Ayres, whose passion for reading and love for children touched so many lives.

We hope this special nook inspires a lifelong love of books in every child who visits, keeping Mrs Ayres kindness, warmth and legacy alive for many years to come 🐝 ❤️ 📚

Our little friends, how time has flown,
You've laughed and learned and gosh you've grown,
Our days were spent having fun and exploring,
Each day was an adventure and never boring 🤩

We've sung our songs, we’ve danced, played games,
We’ll forever cherish these special days 🥰
Keep asking questions and trying new things,
Keep being kind and embrace what life brings 🌍

We’ll miss you all, but don't feel blue,
Our hearts hold the happiest memories of you ♥️

‼️Heat update for Friday 26th June‼️
This applies to both settings, Lilypad at the school and park.
We have noticed tomorrow’s temperature will be 31 degrees. We appreciate it is a lot lower than today, but if you would like to collect your child at lunchtime or if you would like to continue to keep your child off, you are welcome to do so.

‼️Early closure & Heat update ‼️

Lilypad at the school children 🐸
We have been informed that the infant school will be compulsorily closing at 12:30 tomorrow, therefore we will be closing at 12:15.
We will be offering two pick up times of 11:45 before lunch or 12:15 after lunch, please see tapestry for further information.

We thank you for your understanding, and appreciate this is another change, but hope you understand we are following guidance to keep the children as safe as possible,

⚠️ Early closure Wednesday and Thursday⚠️

Due to the heat wave we are experiencing at the moment, in conjunction with the Committee, we have decided for all children to be collected at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday this week at both settings.
We found the children were struggling in the heat this afternoon and it is due to become hotter as the week continues.

We hope for your understanding in this situation, as we always put the children in our care first.
