We plant areas of wild flowers and we monitor all the spring bulbs that are planted in the grass verges.

Is your front garden looking good this year? Is your hanging basket full of colour and are those pots looking gorgeous?
If so, why not enter the BW in Bloom annual Front Garden Competition? But, hurry, because the closing date for entries is June 30th!
Judging takes place on July 17th (kind, non local judges!) and the classes are
Best hanging basket
Best display
Best front garden
Most florally attractive street
Most florally attractive part street

The last of this year's planting done this morning - the towers in Red Lion Street are now full of colourful Geraniums. The sponsored planters for the High street area will arrive from the nursery soon, then we're all set up, over to our lovely Volunteers to maintain them for the summer!

Well, it's that time of the year again - over the last week or so the beds have all been planted, and the baskets are up in the centre of town.....so I should be posting photos of our amazing volunteers at work as usual.....but all my photos of the hard work have vanished from my phone!! Disaster! 😥
Nevertheless, a particularly big THANK YOU to the small band of helpers who turned out in the tropical temps of the Bank Holiday weekend to get everything safely in the ground and also to our waterers who somehow managed to keep everything alive and well right through the exceptional heat.
YOU ARE ALL AMAZING !!!!

Could you spare an hour or two next Saturday, 16th May to help us prepare the flower beds for planting?

No great garden expertise needed, just bring a hand or digging fork and plenty of enthusiasm to the Palace walls at 9am to clear the weeds and old daffodil leaves and fork over the soil ready for planting the flowers on the 25th May.

A very, very big thank you to Swanmore Property Services for a brilliant repair to the damaged planter in Red Lion Street today to keep the Hyacinths going until we replace in May. Our grateful thanks also go to Equestrian fencing and timber ltd who generously donated the wood for the job.
We are lucky to have the support of local firms for what we do!🥰🪻💐

Don't know whether we are more sad or angry.....For the 2nd time in 10 days vandals have badly damaged the planter full of Hyacinths by Costa. It was 1st reported to the Police on Tuesday of last week, and we were hoping to repair it until the Hyacinths (generously donated by a local lady) were over.
However, some time yesterday evening it was further seriously damaged and some of the flowers were also broken.
This isn't the BW we love! If anyone has any idea who may be responsible, please, please tell them to stop and think.
