Top Tip of the Week - Negative Language? Stop it!
I really like the statement (pictured) from the great Bruce Lee. If we say negative things about ourselves, you've hear it, such as "I'm unless, I'm stupid, FML! its always happens to me! etc, etc. You begin to believe it. Using negative language is like self hypnosis, you begin to feel and believe it.
The next time you find yourself saying something negative about yourself, say "Cancel Cancel" and immediately think of something you really like. Do this every-time and the habit will begin to disappear - Wayne

The difference between "Distrust" and "Caution"
Working with a client last week, they said they thought they may have "trust issues". I've seen this issue a number of times both within work and in personal lives.
There is a big difference between the two.
Someone with trust issues will usually be looking for something to fail and seek evidence (even if it's not there) to support their worries. This of course is an unhealthy situation, it usually comes from an event (usually painful) from the past.
Caution is a different mindset. Caution is (usually) very healthy, planning and taking things step by step and learning from them is a good mindset, not over committing and "jumping in the deep end" is on the whole a better way to do things. Of course being overly cautious can be a sign of trust issues. If the situation, job, personal relationship, or business relationship is being overly slowed down, then it may be actually a trust issue rather than being cautious.
Think about wether this is an issue for you or the people in your team and which word yours might be, as if its not addressed you may at the very least lose opportunities or slow things to an uncomfortable crawl, at the worst you may be unconsciously sabotaging things but don't know why or even notice it.
This particular client was simply being wisely cautious rather than distrusting. Clearing up the difference between the two words with them was a complete "breakthrough" moment for them, now a very happy and relieved client.
