🎉🎂 A Very Happy 3rd Birthday at Happy Kids! 🎂🎉✨

Today at Happy Kids Childminding Service, we had a very special reason to celebrate as one of our wonderful Happy Kids turned 3 years old! 🥳💙🎈

Three already! What a lovely milestone for a fantastic little boy who brings us so much laughter, energy, cheekiness and happiness every single day. 💙

Of course, we couldn’t let such an important birthday pass without making a big fuss of him, so today it was…

🪩🎶✨ PARTY TIME… DISCO STYLE! ✨🎶🪩

The music was turned up, the bubbles were flowing and our Happy Kids were ready to party! 🕺💃

Our birthday celebrations included:

🕺💃 Lots of dancing, moving and showing off those fabulous dance moves
🎶 Plenty of party music and disco fun
🎂 A delicious birthday cake to share with friends
🍓 Lots of tasty party treats
🫧 Bubbles, bubbles and even more bubbles!
🎈 And plenty of smiles, laughter and birthday excitement!

There is something so lovely about celebrating these special milestones together. The room was filled with music and happiness as all the children joined in to make our birthday boy feel extra special. 🥰

🌟 Tremendous Thursday Yoga at Happy Kids! 🌟

What better way to start our Thursday morning than with another fabulous yoga session with our wonderful Rachel! 🧘‍♀️💕🧘‍♂️

Our Happy Kids absolutely love their weekly yoga, and this morning they were straight onto their mats, ready for another session filled with movement, stretching, balancing, mindfulness and, of course, plenty of smiles and laughter! 😊🌈

Rachel always has such a lovely way of keeping the children engaged, encouraging them to try different poses and movements while making every session relaxed, enjoyable and lots of fun.

It’s wonderful to watch their confidence grow week by week. Some of those poses certainly require concentration and determination, but our little yogis were more than ready for the challenge! 💪✨

Yoga is such a fantastic addition to everything we offer at Happy Kids, supporting so many areas of our children’s development:

🧘 Balance & coordination – learning to control their bodies through different movements and poses.

👂 Listening & concentration – following Rachel’s instructions and focusing on each activity.

💛 Emotional wellbeing – introducing the children to calmness, breathing and relaxation from an early age.

💪 Strength & flexibility – developing growing muscles, movement and overall physical confidence.

🌟 Confidence & self-esteem – celebrating every attempt and giving the children that wonderful sense of achievement.

🤝 Social development – enjoying an activity together, encouraging one another and sharing lots of happy moments along the way.

For us, early years learning is about giving children a wonderfully varied range of experiences, and our weekly yoga sessions are another perfect example of learning through movement, play and enjoyment. 💕

After a busy week of adventures, there’s something particularly lovely about taking some time to slow things down, stretch those little bodies, breathe and simply enjoy the moment. 🥰

A huge thank you, as always, to our fabulous Rachel for another brilliant morning. Our Happy Kids finished their session feeling happy, relaxed, confident and ready to see what the rest of Tremendous Thursday had in store! 🌈☀️

🤖🎶📚 EXCITING NEWS AT HAPPY KIDS! 📚🎶🤖

We are absolutely delighted to finally share something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for the past six months! 💚

From Wednesday 23rd September the wonderful Charlotte and Robot Reg will be joining us at Happy Kids Childminding Service for a dedicated Phonics session EVERY WEEK! 🌟

We’ve wanted to introduce regular Phonics sessions for some time, but for us it was really important that we found the right person to complement everything we already offer our Happy Kids.

And we certainly have! 🥰

Charlotte is full of fun, enthusiasm and energy, and we are super excited to welcome her and Robot Reg into the Happy Kids family. 🤖❤️

Our new weekly sessions will further enhance our children’s learning and enrich the curriculum we already have in place, while keeping learning exactly how we believe it should be for little ones:

FUN, engaging, active and pressure-free! 🎶💃🕺

🌈 WHAT IS PHONICS WITH ROBOT REG?

Phonics with Robot Reg provides fun, high-energy, music-based classes that introduce children to those all-important early literacy skills through songs, dancing, movement, games, props and play.

The wonderful thing is that the children are learning while having so much fun that they don’t even realise they’re learning! ❤️

Helping children begin to understand the connection between letters and their sounds.

👩‍🏫 GETTING OUR HAPPY KIDS READY FOR BIG SCHOOL! 🎒🏫

We have a number of our Happy Kids making that huge and exciting transition to Big School in September 2027, and having Charlotte and Robot Reg with us every week will give them another wonderful opportunity to build their skills, confidence and independence before that next adventure begins.

It’s not about rushing childhood or expecting our little ones to read before they are ready.

It’s about giving them the strongest possible foundations, nurturing a love of learning and helping them approach school feeling confident, curious and excited. 🌟

We already pack so much into life at Happy Kids, and we’re incredibly proud to be adding yet another fantastic learning opportunity to our curriculum.

Another exciting new chapter for our little Happy Kids! 💚⭐

🫐🌿 Blackberry Picking Adventures at Happy Kids! 🌿🫐

What a lovely, spontaneous afternoon we’ve had at Happy Kids Childminding Service! 💚

Blackberry picking certainly wasn’t on today’s agenda, but when we spotted so many beautiful, ripe blackberries along our countryside walk, we simply couldn’t resist! 🫐🥰

Before we knew it, our ordinary walk had turned into a wonderful little blackberry treasure hunt for our Happy Kids!

There was so much excitement searching amongst the hedgerows for the biggest, darkest and plumpest berries. 👀🫐 It was such a simple activity, yet absolutely perfect for getting our little ones moving, breathing in the fresh air and connecting with nature.

🌿 And those little berries are packed with goodness too!

Wild blackberries are a lovely source of vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants, making them a delicious late-summer treat. Picking them also encourages gentle exercise, patience and concentration as the children carefully search through the leaves for their next juicy find.

We also love that foraging teaches our Happy Kids that some of the most wonderful foods can be found growing naturally around us. No packaging and completely free! 🌎💚

Of course, the best part had to be deciding what to do with our blackberry haul once we got home! 😋

After giving our freshly picked berries a really good wash, we added some juicy peaches and finished everything off with a drizzle of cream.

Such a simple dessert, but absolutely delicious, and even more special knowing that our Happy Kids had picked the blackberries themselves just a short while earlier. 🥰

Sometimes the unplanned adventures really are the best ones! A countryside walk, a hedgerow bursting with berries, a little curiosity and suddenly we’ve created another wonderful Happy Kids memory. 🌿☀️💕

🐛🔎 BUG DETECTIVES AT MEADOWBROOKS! 🔎🐞

What another amazing morning we’ve had at Meadowbrooks Care Home with our Happy Kids! 💚

Today, the fabulous Lucy and Victoria had organised a brilliant Bug Detective Morning for us. 🕵️‍♀️🐛🐞

Armed with their magnifying glasses and plenty of curiosity, our little bug detectives headed off on a mission to see what creepy crawlies they could discover hiding away! 🔍🌿

And wow, we certainly weren’t disappointed! 😍

It wasn’t long before we spotted some real little bugs tucked away, but there were also a few not-so-real bugs waiting to be discovered along the way too! 😂🐜🪲

Our Happy Kids absolutely loved searching, investigating and taking a closer look at their tiny discoveries. Activities like this are such a wonderful way to encourage curiosity, observation and an interest in the natural world, all while having lots of fun. 🌎💚

After our bug-hunting adventure, we went to visit some of the wonderful residents in their rooms. ❤️

And, as always, our Happy Kids were thoroughly spoilt! 🥰 There were sweets, chocolates and crisps being handed out, accompanied by lots of smiles and chatter. 🍫🍬

The residents absolutely love seeing the children each week, and you can really see just how much these visits mean to them. The relationships and friendships that have developed between the generations are incredibly special, and our weekly visits have become a highlight for everyone involved. ❤️👵👴👧👦

We finished our morning in the best possible way, with plenty of singing, dancing, laughter and smiles! 🎶💃🕺

From bug detectives to room visits and a little morning boogie, what a fun-packed morning we’ve had!

🎓🌈 HAPPY KIDS GRADUATING / LEAVERS PARTY 2026! 🌈🎓

Today was a very special, and slightly emotional, day at Happy Kids Childminding Service as we celebrated one of our older Happy Kids getting ready to graduate from our setting and begin her exciting next chapter… SCHOOL! 🏫✨

Of course, such a wonderful milestone deserved a proper Happy Kids Leavers Party! 🎉🥳🎈

There was plenty of fun, laughter and celebration as we recognised just how far our little graduate has come during her time with us. Watching the children grow from the little ones who first arrive at our door into confident, curious and independent young people is one of the greatest privileges of what we do. ❤️

And so, to our very special graduate…

It’s nearly time for you to leave us and embark on your next exciting new adventure called “School.” 🌟

🧚‍♀️✨ A Fairy-Tale Afternoon at Meadowbrook! ✨🧚‍♂️

Today our Happy Kids were delighted to be invited along to a wonderful Fairy Garden Workshop at Meadowbrook Care Home. 🌸🍄💕

When we arrived, everything was beautifully set up and ready for our little creators to get stuck in!

🧚 Fairy wings
🌈 Different coloured tissue paper
🎨 Cardboard cones and circular discs
🖍️ An array of colourful pens
✨ And plenty of imagination!

It certainly didn’t take long before everyone was busy creating, with the fabulous Lucy and Victoria guiding our Happy Kids through each stage from start to finish. 💕

There was lots of colouring, decorating, sticking and choosing the perfect combinations to bring each little fairy to life. 🧚‍♀️🎨

And WOW… they really did turn out fabulous! 🥰✨

Our Happy Kids were so proud of their creations and absolutely loved having their very own handmade fairies to take home and treasure. 🧚‍♀️🏡💖

Activities like this are such a lovely way for our children to explore their creativity and imagination while developing those all-important fine motor skills, concentration and confidence in making their own choices.

A huge thank you to Lucy, Victoria and everyone at Meadowbrook for inviting us and preparing such a lovely activity for our Happy Kids. We always adore our visits and the wonderful experiences we get to share together. ❤️

Another magical afternoon and some very happy little fairy makers! 🧚‍♀️✨🌸🍄

🌼🐑 Summer Adventures at Wimpole Estate 🐄🌞

What a wonderful afternoon of exploring for our little adventurers at Happy Kids Childminding Service! 💚

Today we headed to the beautiful Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire, and with the weather feeling slightly cooler than the scorching temperatures we’ve had recently, it was absolutely perfect for an afternoon in the great outdoors. 🌿☀️

Our Happy Kids were so excited as we explored the estate, taking in the beautiful countryside and watching the cows and sheep roaming peacefully in the fields. 🐄🐑 There’s something so special about seeing farm animals in their natural surroundings, and there was plenty for our curious little minds to see, talk about and discover. 🥰

🌳 But our adventures didn’t stop there!

Along the way, the children got stuck into some wonderful outdoor activities, including the challenge of building their very own bridge! 🌉👏

Once our masterpiece was complete, it was time to put it to the test as the children carefully made their way across, practising their balance, coordination and confidence while encouraging one another along the way. 💪💕

Learning through play at its very best!

Days like today are exactly why we love our Happy Kids adventures so much. ❤️

Exploring nature, enjoying wide-open spaces, breathing in the fresh country air and giving our children opportunities to learn through real experiences makes for some of the very best childhood memories. 🌿🌼

Another perfect afternoon out for Happy Kids Childminding Service, and we really couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for our outdoor learning, exploration and fun. ☀️🌈
