I’ve been teaching for over 15 years… and I think these might be the results I’m proudest of. 🥹

Not just because of the grades.

But because of where so many of these students started.

Students who came to me on Grades 2, 3 and 4.

Students who lacked confidence in English.

Students who had been told to “analyse in more detail” or “develop their ideas”… but didn’t really know how.

And now?

✨ 100% improved on their starting grade
✨ 64% made 2+ grades of progress
✨ 29% made 3+ grades of progress
✨ 90% passed English Language
✨ 94% passed English Literature

Including some incredible transformations from Grade 3 → Grade 8, Grade 2 → Grade 6 and Grade 3 → Grade 7.

But the messages that have meant the most?

The ones telling me that they’ve got the college place. Got into Sixth Form. Can take the subjects they wanted. Can move onto their next step.

Because ultimately, that’s what all of this work was for.

I am SO proud of them. ❤️
