What a week! 🌊🏄‍♂️⛰️

Our Year 7 residential trip to Bude has been a tremendous success, with students embracing every opportunity to learn through adventurous activities including surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, caving, and mountain boarding! 🧗‍♀️🚣‍♂️🌟

From early morning runs 🏃‍♂️ to talent contests 🎤 and evening discos 🪩, our students have demonstrated remarkable courage and enthusiasm throughout the trip. Most importantly, they showed genuine empathy and teamwork by encouraging and supporting one another every step of the way ❤️👏

We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this week — memories to last a lifetime! ✨

Ski Trip 2026: Wagrain ⛷️

An incredible week on the slopes in Austria! 🇦🇹

Fresh snow across the Alps created perfect powder days alongside some beautiful blue-sky skiing.

Our students rose to every challenge with determination, focus, and positivity. Confidence grew quickly as technique improved and steeper runs were tackled — all while enjoying some breathtaking mountain views.

A brilliant example of learning and character beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved on the slopes. 🏔️

As our open evening event has now sold out, we are hosting tours of Avanti Grange School for those unable to secure tickets.

The events will commence with a 30 minute talk from our Executive Principal and Head of School - this is the same talk given at our Open Evening event of 1st October.

You will then be given a tour of our stunning £40 million campus - including visits to classrooms to see our lessons in action, learn about The Avanti Way - our distinctive approach that combines educational excellence, character formation, and spiritual insight, and discover our ambitious curriculum and Avanti Habits.

Mr Martin was delighted to present a cheque for £800 to Grove Cottage, a fantastic local charity, following our recent 10-mile walk fundraising event. It was a proud moment, especially with the Mayor joining us to celebrate this achievement. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school community.

What an unforgettable adventure Year 8 had on the Opal Coast! From mastering the art of croissant-making to enjoying beach games—and everything in between. Students threw themselves wholeheartedly into French cultural life. They embraced every opportunity to practise their language skills, particularly when ordering some delicious food! Two fun-filled days, packed with laughter, learning, and lasting memories.

Today was the first ever Culture Day at Avanti Grange. It was an incredible celebration of the diversity of our school community, with over 30 different cultures represented by students and staff. The time and effort put into the stalls was evident for all to see, with respect shown by all those who came to share in the stories, traditions and artefacts. A proud moment in our Avanti Grange journey.

A huge thank you to the eco-club and staff that stayed behind after school today to plant our new ‘Tree of Life’. The tree is a visual representation of our core offer, The Roots - Spiritual Insight, The Trunk - Character Formation and The Crown - Educational Excellence. It looks amazing!!

Congratulations to our new Anti-Bullying Ambassadors!
 
Last week, 10 of our students from the Respect and Anti-Bullying Committee completed the prestigious Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador Training. They gained valuable skills to tackle bullying, support peers, and promote a culture of kindness.
 
The students left the session feeling inspired and ready to take action, and they are already planning initiatives to raise awareness and provide peer support within the school.
 
We’re so proud of their commitment to making a difference!

An unforgettable week of incredible skiing, fresh snow, and plenty of fun off the slopes! From slalom races to conquering red and black runs, every student should be proud of their achievements. The students were a credit to the school, praised by instructors, hotel staff, and even other skiers on the lift!
