Choi Sul Hapkido Academy Welcome to the 1st Choi Sul Hapkido Academy, a martial arts school based in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow.

Hapkido is vibrant, effective and practical Korean martial art, unlike most martial arts, is a complete system consisting of joint locks, kicks, punches, and striking attacks. Students are also trained to use traditional weapons, including a sword, rope, nunchaku, cane, short stick and staff. Today, as we mourn the heartbreaking loss of Lee, we also remember the 22 innocent souls who lost their lives in the Manchester Arena tragedy.

Our thoughts remain with every family and friend still carrying the pain of that night. 🫂

Terrorism and hatred will never win while love, unity, and compassion continue to bring people together.

Friday night and Shannon Mcdowall sitting her 2nd Dan. Some of the techniques made me feel sorry for Wullie Bird as he got thrown about like a chip poke in a pub carpark. With a few minor adjustments shazza will be a great asset to the club moving forward(needs more controlled aggression) 5th Dan Matt Tollan had no problem overseeing the grading and was quite taken with her ability to control the attacks. Well done Shannon.
