Last week was our “Beyond the Classroom” camp out for Year 6. ⛺️
We are so proud of all the children who did absolutely amazing, for some it’s the first time they’ve ever stayed out away from home.
A big shout out to the staff who volunteered their time overnight to allow this to happen.
We’d also like to thank OASES who have supported this by providing the camping tents and equipment as well as putting on some fun activities for the children. This opportunity supports children with their transition to secondary school promotong self-esteem, resilience, confidence and independence.
We hope all the children sleep well for you tonight (and hope all the staff do too!) ☺️ 💤😴🛌

🚌 Please see below information sharing that the fantastic Kids Go Free initiative is back for the summer holidays! 🚌
Along with free travel for up to 3 children with a paying adult, some fantastic new Durham Explorer bus routes and discount to some attractions if you travel by bus….children can also get a free goody bag!

Please see attached information on a School Uniform Bank that is running again this year.

If you have any old uniform, the drop off point is St Anne’s Church in the Market Place.

If you would like some uniform, pants/socks etc please visit the church on the 7th August 1-3pm or the 8th August 10-11am.

🛟 The RNLI and RLSS have produced lots of resources relating to water safety. 🛟
This is especially relevant as the weather heats up and due to some incredibly sad news over the weekend.
Where appropriate… please reiterate the dangers of water to your children, share the FLOAT TO LIVE message and look at the resources together on the RNLI website.
