🌟 A Brilliant First Week Back! 🌟

What a fantastic first week it has been at Bishop Barrington Academy! Our students have returned with a positive attitude, high standards and a real commitment to our RISE values.

🎟️ We launched our new Golden Ticket weekly draw, celebrating students who are recognised by staff for demonstrating our RISE values. Our first winner was Logan C in Year 10, nominated by Mrs Vasey for:

“Sharing excellent physics knowledge committed to memory from Year 9.”

💻 We also held our first 100% Attendance Award random draw. Every student who achieved full attendance during the week was automatically entered—and our first winner was Summer M in Year 7, who took home a brand-new laptop to support her learning!

Congratulations to Logan and Summer—and well done to all our students for making the first week such a successful one. A brilliant start to the year! 💜💛

🌟 Well done, Class of 2031! 🌟

Our new Year 7 students were brilliant on their first day at Bishop Barrington Academy. They demonstrated our RISE values, settled into school life, experienced their first lessons and began making new friends and special memories.

Tomorrow, Year 7 will continue their exciting start with a visit to Auckland Castle. 🏰

We also look forward to welcoming Years 8–11 back to the Academy from 8:00am tomorrow. 💜💛

We’re excited to see you on Wednesday 2nd September. First-day nerves are completely natural, and your form tutor, Year Leader and pastoral team will be ready to support you.

🥣 Breakfast from 8:00am
⏰ Line-up on the yard at 8:20am
👔 Please arrive on time and in full uniform
✏️ Equipment is provided, but pupils may bring their own
📱⛔️Mobile phones are not permitted in school

🏰 On Thursday 3rd September, pupils will walk to Auckland Castle and explore our local historical attractions. We know they’ll represent Bishop Barrington brilliantly!

👏 A special warm welcome to our brand-new Year 7 starters, who join us on Wednesday 2nd September. Doors open from 8.00am for a free breakfast, with line up beginning at 8.20am.

There has been so much to celebrate today, with lots of happy faces, proud families and well-deserved results after years of hard work and commitment.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and wish every member of the Class of 2026 the very best as they take their exciting next steps.
