Recently, we received an email from a company encouraging us to hire them to use AI to write our reports. To say I was horrified was putting it mildly.
Each and every individual I assess is unique; they have their own strengths and difficulties. An AI generated report may be able to write up test results quickly but it will never be able to give the depth and detail of a report written by a qualified assessor.
LD Learning Support will never use AI to generate any of our reports or resources. We are committed to assessing and producing reports of the very highest quality to help every individual reach their full potential.

The best bit about my job is being able to support young people to reach their full potential. Dyslexia assessments can enable a student to go from "Why do I struggle so much?" to "My brain just works differently"...for many, this is life changing.

I've had a few queries recently about the difference between face to face and online dyslexia assessments.

The answer? Absolutely nothing: you complete activities focusing on all the same areas, you receive a valid diagnosis (if applicable) and both types of assessment cost £450.

The only thing to be aware of is that online assessments aren't suitable for younger children or those with attention difficulties...it's very difficult for me to get a child back if they wander off on the other side of the screen!! Other than that, it is simply down to personal preference and circumstances - what works best for you!
