World Bee Day π
What better way to spend world bee day than with Birstall Bee Man and Born Explorers Forest School!!!
We learned all about the different types of bees we are likely to see outside and how important they are to our environment, how honey is made, what a bee keeper is and we even got to try on a bee keeper suit! π
And after a taster session with lots of different flavours of honey, staff purchased some for home time! π
What a BEE-eautiful day!! π π π

Officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Birstall Pre-School yesterday morning, where they spoke to approximately 25 children about the role of the police.
The officers explained how the police help people and outlined some of the work they do.
They also covered basic stranger danger awareness and spoke about the roles of other emergency services.
The children were given the opportunity to see the police van and activate the sirens, which proved to be a big hit and was very well received.
