๐ฟ Eco Council Update from Student Presidents Isaac๐ฟ
Leading our Eco Council this year has been one of the most rewarding parts of my academic career. We set out to make real, practical changes around school, and Iโm so proud of what we're building together.
One of our biggest wins has been our electricalโuse awareness campaign. You might have spotted the red, orange, and green stickers popping up around classrooms and corridors. These werenโt just for decoration โ they were our way of helping everyone understand which plugs can be switched off, when, and why.
๐ด Red โ Do not unplug
๐ Orange โ Ask first / Only unplug at night
๐ข Green โ Safe to unplug anytime
Itโs a simple system, but it will let us cut down on unnecessary energy use and made everyone more aware of the little choices that add up to a big impact.
Huge thank you to the Eco Council for their creativity, teamwork, and determination you bring to every meeting. And thank you to everyone in school whoโs supported the campaign โ change only happens when a whole community gets behind it.
Thank you for your continued support.

On Monday 16th March Y11 Art and Design students had the fantastic opportunity to visit 2 World Class art galleries Tate Britain and Tate Modern. The students experienced incredible art spanning 500 years of art history and viewed techniques to inspire their own practice for their GCSE Exam. The journey between the galleries on the Thames also enabled them to photograph and view London Landmarks along the way. Students were a credit to the school, with some of them being lost in thought when exploring the artwork. ๐ ๐จ๐๏ธ๐ผ๏ธ
Thank you Team Creative for this fantastic opportunity for our students.

With the Easter break coming up, many families will be helping their children organise their revision time. To support this, Lionheart has created a set of clear, practical resources to guide you through revision planning, managing workload, and supporting wellbeing during exam preparation.
These resources bring everything together in one place so you can feel confident helping your child over the coming weeks.

On 4th March, Some of our year 7 pupils took part in the County Open KS3 & KS4/5 SEND Boccia Competition at Sir Jonathan North College; Jacy, James and Saenchai.
They had a brilliant day competing against other schools whilst representing South Charnwood. They worked very well as a team showing resilience, hard work and great sportsmanship skills.
They played against the top 4 teams for the final half of the day after scoring high in the first rounds. They then scored highest in these groups, winning most of their matches to become the KS3 champions. Well done Team Cedars!
