👆Delighted to share that *our Medicine expert Dr Anjalee Chaurasia’s team has won the 2026 OXFORD CLINICAL AI (Artificial Intelligence) HACKATHON* organised by the number one University in the world - *University of Oxford!*
(*THES 2026)

Scholarships were awarded to individuals with potential in advancing clinical AI and *Dr Anjalee Chaurasia also received a scholarship!*

*Dr Anjalee Chaurasia is our expert at A Star Education for Medicine interview (MMI) training and University applications for Medicine degrees. She also tutors for A level Biology and Chemistry.*

The Oxford Clinical AI Hackathon 2026 took place in April 2026, as a 3-day, high-intensity event focused on developing practical artificial intelligence tools for healthcare.

Hosted by the University of Oxford AI Competency Centre in collaboration with OpenAI, the event brought together clinicians, engineers, and researchers at the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub, Market Street, Oxford.

The competition was very intense with some of the brightest minds in the world pitted against each other and Anjalee was competing against some PhD’s with 10+ years experience in clinical AI. *Anjalee’s winning team created an AI risk classification tool for detecting risk of death in patients with heart failure.*

*Anjalee also did a presentation on behalf of her team to a very eminent multidisciplinary judging panel.*

This event is part of a broader push to bridge the " AI-Fluency Gap" and translate AI innovation into real patient impact.

The story of Thomas Alva Edison and his mother👌❤️🙏
One day Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his
mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.”

His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child:
Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.

After many, many years, Edison’s mother died and he was now one of the greatest inventors of the century, one day he was looking through old family things.

Suddenly he saw a folded paper in the corner of a drawer in a desk. He took it and opened it up.

On the paper was written: Your son is addled [mentally ill].
We won’t let him come to school any more.

Edison cried for hours and then he wrote in his diary

👆This young man Sairam (Y12) is a role model for all of us! I have been tutoring him from Y7 AY 2020-21. He attends a state school in Solihull and when he joined my tuition in Y7, he was about to quit in just 6 months as he had not experienced any intense level of professional tutoring and teaching like mine. Mum Ramyata requested me to have a word with him and I told him that he had 2 choices; be a quitter or a fighter.

Dear parents
I’m delighted to share some fantastic news about one of my children (tutees) - Anika from Brighton College, Abu Dhabi (private school) who has achieved a grade 9 in IGCSE Maths during her final IGCSE public exams conducted in the November 2025 cycle. *This is an absolutely outstanding achievement given the fact that she was only 3 months into Y11 when she appeared for the final IGCSE Maths exams.* Besides MPCB tuition, she is also attending IGCSE Further Maths tuition with us which is actually strengthening her normal IGCSE Maths as well!
I’ve been tutoring Anika and her sister Akshara both from Brighton College Abu Dhabi since KS3; all credit goes to the amazing daughters for their sincere dedication, perseverance and resilience. *They keep awake until 1:30-2 am UAE time because lessons finish around 9:30-10 pm UK time; and they have to go to school in the morning as well!* It’s all due to their parents’ tremendous commitment, encouragement and support!
Anika’s older brother (first cousin) Anish Lanka who attended KES Edgbaston-Birmingham is currently reading Economics at Cambridge University after securing the world’s highest score of a maximum of 45 points at IB in 2025; we also tutored Anish from KS3 until end of IB/A levels and are currently tutoring his younger brother Anuj since KS3 as well.
