Thinking you're rising over others through increased good deeds, is the delusion the devil fell into. Rather, increasing in knowledge should make us more aware of our faults, so much, that the weight of our sins humbles us down to earth. Take a lesson from nature, the heavier the fruit, the more the tree bows.

When Yusuf (عليه السلام) was imprisoned, after losing his father and the shelter of Azeez's home, he still did the dawah! He didn't say I've been abandoned by God so I won't help his religion, rather he continued the da'wah. And like that, the true believers continue calling to Allah in spite of seemingly losing everything.

When the Prophet sallallahualaihiwasallam saw Zaid alKhail (ra), he said: all men who have been described to me, I found them to be less than their description, except you, for you are above your description.

Subhanallah, imagine being greater than the description people give about you. That's true greatness.
