It's that time of the year. Many schools across the country are busy getting exam results ready for students to collect tomorrow. I personally remember those days when I was in charge of year 11. The day is so very stressful for all. I saw this image and thought it might be useful for those who are more familiar with the old scales (I am one of those people also There is a little bit more behind the image in terms of a 9 which is really a A** and a 6 is an old B. Good luck to all students tomorrow.

Today always brings mixed emotions for lots of people. We all have our stories about dads or being a dad. I myself feel that the quote attached sums it up for me. Thoughts with those of you who have lost a dad. I myself still have my dad with me but unfortunately his health not! My personal biggest achievement in life has always been becoming a dad. X

* edit, today wasn't awful at all, but there is an eary silence around when it is quiet, and certainly less people in and looking around, I'm nearly 5 years into running a shop I can definitely tell when it's quiet...*

Retail is brutal right now, every single day I read about a small buisness closing there doors, I spoke to a lady who worked for a national company today & she said " oh we are quiet", I understand it's a worry for all, but imagine having no idea if you will have 1 or 30 people through the door, if you will cover your shop rent for the month, be able to pay your bills/shop insurance before you've even put a single penny in your own pocket, thats the how scary it is, you literally have no idea, there is no guaranteed monthly wage,

we need people to tell there friends about our little shops, instead of paying £2.50 for a cup of tea in a well known large coffee shop, spend £1.50 & have one here with a handmade cake made by a local baker, you make the difference for little shops like mine staying open,

So please give us a share, tell a friend, pop in for a cup of tea, just remember us and all the other small buisness's fighting to stay open and not become another closed statistic ❤️ and to all my regulars you have no idea how important you are to us, and I am so greatful for your continued support 👏
