Hi - I'm Sarah, the Baby Signing teacher for Harborne, Quinton & Bearwood. I attended TinyTalk classes in Bearwood with my son when he was 7 weeks old and we continued for more than 2 years! The classes are so much more than learning to sign with your baby: they are amazing social opportunities for both parent and child! My son learnt so much from watching the older babies signing in class, and on

e day became one of those role-models himself! And I appreciated the grown-up time when we could chat over a cup of tea and biscuits in the second half of class. Signing made our early years together so much fun! My baby was able to communicate what he wanted and needed, when he had had enough of things, when he was tired, what he could see, and so much more! It really opened a window into his world and has made our relationship so strong. I would recommend it to everyone! It's a skill that you can use in so many situations, and of course you can take it further and study the full British Sign Language to really put it all into action! Just checking we all know that AI stands for *Actual Interaction* right? I'm terrible at technology, so..
Email me? You'll get Actual Interaction with an actual personal reply from..well, me.
Come to my classes? You'll meet me and so many wonderful families.
And there is nothing greater for babies than Actual Interaction with human beings. It's the best!

Then there's the ChatGPT (chatting during Glorious Parent Time) at the end of class. Don't think we have a Claude signed up yet though...

I should be out of a job!

Really. British Sign Language should be taught in all nurseries and schools. It is one of our official National languages. Everybody should know it!
It should be second nature to everyone in this country.

Until it is, I will teach TinyTalk classes so that parents can learn to communicate with their babies through signs before their speech has developed. And toddlers can use signs alongside their developing language to make themselves understood.

We've been away for nearly 2 weeks at Whitby Folk Festival and straight onto Shrewsbury Folk Festival, but back now and normal service resuming (after a whole lot of laundry and putting-camping-things-away).

Looking forward to term starting next week! And seeing all my lovely families and hopefully some new ones too 💜
