Good morning everyone,

The forecast snow has not arrived and conditions are currently clear. We are open as normal today and there is no need to delay drop-off.

Thank you for your flexibility and support over the last 24 hours while we monitored the situation. As always, please continue to take care when travelling, but we are all set and looking forward to a normal day at nursery.

We are aware that heavy snow is forecast for tomorrow.

At this stage, we are planning to remain open as normal. However, the safety of our children, families and staff is always our priority.

To help ensure all staff can travel to nursery safely, we kindly ask that families bring children in later than usual tomorrow, where possible. A staggered or later arrival will really support the team in getting to nursery carefully and allow us to open smoothly.

Please only make the journey if it is safe for you to do so. Road and pavement conditions may vary across areas, so we encourage everyone to assess their own local conditions before travelling.

We will post a further update on Facebook at 7:30am tomorrow morning should anything change.

Parking Safety Reminder 🚗

For everyone’s safety, we kindly remind parents and carers to use the nursery car park when dropping off and collecting children.

Please do not park on the pavement outside the nursery.

Parking on the pavement:
- Blocks visibility for drivers and pedestrians
- Creates a hazard for children and families
- Has already led to a recent near-miss incident

Keeping the pavement clear helps ensure:
- Safe access for prams, wheelchairs and pedestrians
- Clear sight lines when entering and leaving the site
- A safer environment for all children and families

Following our 6.30am weather review, we are planning to remain open today. Where possible, the nursery will open at 9.00am. We will then re-evaluate staff attendance to ensure we are operating legally and safely, and further decisions may be made throughout the day if required.

We kindly ask all families to take extra care when travelling and to only make journeys that feel safe for them. Please allow extra time and continue to check this page for any further updates should conditions change.

Our staff will be making their way in as safely and promptly as possible; however, due to the weather we may not have our full team on site. For this reason, we ask families to only travel if it is safe to do so. If you do not intend to attend today, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Please note: the car park is currently out of use as the gates are unable to open. Families are asked to take extra care when parking and to use the front doors only.

Weather Warning
We are aware that the weather forecast for Friday is currently not looking great. Our managers will be meeting at 6.30am on Friday morning to assess conditions and confirm plans for the day.

At this stage, we are not asking families to keep children at home. We kindly ask that parents and carers check our page on Friday morning for any updates before travelling to nursery.
