This is a place where we celebrate diversity, where we embrace the challenge of deep theological formation, and where we hold fast to the treasure of the Gospel.
This article takes us back to the service of welcome and rededication where Queen's recommitted itself to its mission for the Church and the wider community.
If you missed the service, you can find the recording at the bottom of the page.

For LGBT+ History Month 2025, The Methodist Church shares with us this prayer written by Queen's student presbyter and Director of the Open Table Network, Kieran Bohan.
Join us in a prayer for the start of LGBT+ History Month 2025 🙏
Life-giving God,
in You we live and move and have our being.
We thank You that You made each one of us unique,
in Your own image,
as Your beloved child.
We trust that You love us for all that we are,
and all that we can be,
through the grace of the Spirit and the example of Jesus.
Help us to glorify You,
by living more fully in that knowledge
- for ourselves,
for everyone You entrust to our care,
and everyone with whom we struggle to live in harmony.
We ask this in the name of Jesus,
who came to live among us
so we might live more abundantly.
Amen
This prayer was written by Kieran Bohan, a student presbyter at the Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, and Director of the Open Table Network.

On Friday 31st January Queen's was delighted to welcome the President and Vice President of the Methodist Conference, the Revd Helen Cameron and Mrs Carolyn Godfrey. This was a rare and special occasion when both full-time and part-time Methodist ministerial students were able to share together. The President and Vice President shared news from the connexion, gave keynote addresses, led worship and answered students’ questions, offering throughout encouragement for their future ministries.

Queen’s students A.J., Sarah and Anne were ‘over the moon’ (or maybe under it?) to be taking part in The Diocese of St Albans' diocesan ordinands’ conference recently. Here they are taking a break in the cathedral.
Queen's offers a range of pathways to suit The Church of England ordinands from across the country. Whether you are looking to train in your own context or live on campus here in Birmingham, do come and meet some of our lovely students and staff, at our upcoming open day, Saturday 1st February.

We are delighted to share the news that Revd Angela Sheard, a former Queen’s student and currently curate at St Martin-in-the-Fields , Diocese of London, has been appointed to the post of Anglican Tutor.
Angela’s appointment forms part of the Racial Justice Empowerment project for which we have received funding from The Church of England to develop Theological Educators of UKME/GMH heritage. Angela will therefore be dividing her time between her own research, (supported by the Centre for Research and Global Partnerships), and her teaching and tutorial responsibilities within the Centre for Ministerial Formation.
Angela has so much to bring to the team and to Queen’s more generally and we look forward very much to welcoming her on board sometime after Easter.
