🚦 Smart Road Traffic Control in AlgoPlay! 🚗
Our young engineers tackled a brilliant real-world coding challenge last week: building a Traffic Light system that works just like a smart road!
The children learned about the ♾️Infinity Light Command and how to create a traffic light that cycles between red and green. But here's where it gets clever: they discovered the concept of an Interrupting Command. The red light runs forever (infinity) until the code interrupts it and switches to green. When that happens, the car launcher activates and the car drives forward automatically.
It's real programming logic - overriding commands, interrupting events, and parallel processing all happening in one system. The excitement when their cars responded perfectly to the go signal was brilliant. Well done engineers!🎉

⚙️ Speed Control Engineering! 🎡🏎️💨
Last week in Bricks Challenge, our Young Engineers discovered something brilliant: by changing the size of the wheels in a belt transmission, you can make your machine go faster or slower!
We started by experimenting with different sizes to understand how speed changes. Then the children had a choice: build a Racing Car to explore speed increasing, or a Ferris Wheel to explore speed decreasing. Some chose one, some chose the other, and everyone got hands-on discovering how wheel size affects the velocity of their machines.
What they learnt! 🧠💡
When the drive wheel is bigger than the driven wheel, it speeds things up. When the drive wheel is smaller, it slows things down. Our young engineers tested it all out and loved figuring out how it works! 🎡🏎️
