As today is the last day of the half term for those in education, many will be having a fun day celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. Are you dressing up or accessorising? 👗 👠👕👑

As a huge lover of books and stories it's no surprise this is one of my favourite days of the year! 🌍 📚 🌤

Have you started on Christmas crafts with your little ones? Maybe the Elf may be bringing some your way over the next few weeks?

My eldest is 9 and absolutely still a believer. She set out this little craft station for the Elves to make something for her when she was in bed last night 🙆‍♀️ so at 2am, bleary eyed I very quickly made this little tree. it is perfect for a simple craft to do with children that can be part of a small world scene. You can even do a bigger one using a kitchen tube too.

All you need is;
An inner cardboard tube
Something to turn it green (I used a felt tip but you could use crayons, pencils or paint)
Scissors to cut the shape
Wool or string to wrap around like tinsel
Stickers or gems to decorate (depending on your child's ages you may prefer to just add extra colour dots)

Today has been renamed in our house as 'Elf Eve' 🧑‍🎄

Today many people around the world will be celebrating Diwali, a festival of lights.

We have been reading a Twinkl original book called 'Dipal's Diwali' which you can also search on you tube and learning all about the celebrations that have been taking place over the past few day and will culminate in fireworks this evening. 🎆🎇

Today we will be making salt dough Diya lamps and looking at Rangoli patterns.
