For me teaching is all about the positive impact you can have on a child in those early years of life.
I am very passionate about teaching children and I find that I work at my best when faced with fresh and exciting challenges. I am highly motivated and my core teaching values of inclusion, openness and continued drive to improve pupil learning experience is of high importance to me.

My lesson delivery is based on a pedagogical philosophy of taking a hands-on and enthusiastic approach to teaching and creating a learning environment that is characterised by empathy, mutual support and above all, an inclusion of all pupils. I take pride in making children’s learning fun and relevant to their lives.

I have always prided myself on my commitment to teaching excellence, something which is corroborated by the high levels of positive feedback that I have received from assessments of my lessons. I have used this experience to guide two teaching students and Teaching Assistant student successfully through their placements.

I understand how important relationships with parents and carers are. I welcome parent involvement. This has meant that I have been better equipped to deal with their children’s needs.
