Do you know why children remember stories more than lectures?

I’m not saying teaching and seeking knowledge are not essential in Islam. They are. But when it comes to helping a lesson stay with a child, stories are one of the most powerful tools we have.

Think about your own childhood.

You may not remember every piece of advice you were given... but you most likely can still remember an experience, a person, or even a feeling that stayed with you for years.

Stories don't replace teaching but they help bring lessons to life.

That's why I'm passionate about writing authentic stories that children don't just enjoy... but remember.

I've shared a few little stories over the past few weeks... and it's finally time to reveal the author.

Alhamdolillah. They were all written by my 8-year-old child.

This latest story, Mo and the Missing Bubbles, was put together using the same storytelling method I teach inside my Storytelling Program. By answering a few guided questions, they were able to turn their ideas into a complete story. Allaahummaa barak.

I'm honestly so proud of their imagination and willingness to keep writing.
