On behalf of the team, children and families here at St. Edwards (both past and present) we would like to take the opportunity to wish Lorraine well for her retirement as she leaves us today.

Lorraine has been a firm favourite with the children and colleagues here at St. Edwards since she joined us from Co-op travel during covid and she leaves big shoes to fill.

What a cracking time we have had here at St. Edwards over the past two weeks!! With the support of our wonderful families we held a fundraising event and were able to fund the living eggs project which enables children the opportunity to watch chicks hatch and grow. The children (and parents) all across the setting have loved meeting the chicks and we will be sad to see them go!

Today is Save the frogs day! Our Little Adventurers enjoyed using Chia seeds mixed with water, creating their own frog spawn and learning all about frogs.

Friday afternoon at St. Edwards means that some of our big learners are heading off to the local care home for our intergenerational care project! The outing is a firm favourite for a number of the children and they love opportunity to share activities with the residents, many often asking as soon as Monday if they are on the list to attend this week!
