The next chapter has arrived!! Are you ready?

For over 20 years, we have helped young people find their voice, build confidence and believe in themselves.

What began with private singing lessons and examinations grew into something much bigger, an academy offering singing, dance, drama and musical theatre, and most importantly, a place where young people could be themselves, feel accepted and build lifelong friendships.

But over the years, we have realised something...

We are so much more than performing arts.

Through our work with the SEN community, our outreach programmes and the incredible young people and families we meet, we have seen just how powerful creativity can be.

And now, our vision is growing too. 💜

B2S Creative Arts will create opportunities for ALL young people, with a particular focus on those who may not always thrive in traditional environments.

Young people with additional needs, who are home educated, who have struggled at school or who simply think, learn, communicate or experience the world differently.

Don't worry Born2Sing isn't going anywhere, it is our foundation and we will continue to deliver all our private lessons through our trusted name. However, B2S crept in as an abbreviation that stuck and made it's own mark.
Performing arts will remain a huge part of who we are, but this is just the beginning.

Our next chapter will see B2S expand beyond the stage, creating more opportunities for young people to explore their creativity, discover their strengths, develop new skills, qualifications and find their people.

Because high standards don't have to mean high barriers and creativity doesn't only belong to those who fit into a particular box.

20 years in the making…

What started with one person and a love of helping young people find their voice has grown into something I could never have imagined.

Over the years, Born2Sing has become so much more than singing.

It has become a team.
A family 💜

A place to sing, dance, act, perform, grow and belong.

We’ve watched tiny performers take their first steps into a class and grow into confident young people. We’ve welcomed children with different abilities, different needs and different dreams, and we’ve always believed there should be a place for every single one of them.

And now, after 20 years, it feels like the right time for the outside to finally reflect everything we have become on the inside.

Tomorrow, we begin our next chapter. ✨

Some things may look a little different…
But our heart, our values, our inclusivity and the family we have created are coming with us.

This isn't about leaving our story behind.

It's about taking everything Born2Sing has given us and carrying it forward. 💜

Good morning everyone! ☀️
We hope you’re all having a lovely summer and enjoying the break! 💜

🎶 Our first SEN session of the new school year is now available to book! 🎶

📅 Saturday 5th September
🎤 Music & Singing Class
⏰ 1.30pm–2.15pm
📍 Hatchford Brook Family Hub
💜 £3 per child | Carers FREE

We’d love to see lots of you there for a relaxed, inclusive session where everyone is welcome to make music, sing, have fun and simply be themselves. 🥁🎤🎶

A little favour from us… 🙏

Although the class is advertised as starting at 1.30pm, please arrive at 1.20pm so that we can let everyone into the building together.
The Family Hub is a secure building for everyone’s safety, which means once the session has started, it is very difficult for our class leader to leave the children to come and open the door.

At the moment, we haven’t secured funding for these sessions, so we simply don’t have the funds available to employ an additional member of staff just to cover the door. Any additional support we have at the sessions is kindly provided by volunteers, whose availability naturally depends on their other commitments.
Arriving at 1.20pm really helps us to start on time and make sure the full session can be focused on the children. 💜

Thank you so much for understanding and supporting us while we continue working hard to keep these inclusive sessions accessible and affordable for our families.

But our young people grew.
Their ambitions grew.
Our team grew.
And we grew with them.

We started with a song. 💜

Born2Sing began with a passion for singing and helping young people discover their voices.

But over the years, something amazing happened.
We grew!

Let's get personal....

In 2020 Born2Sing's founder Gemma Mills who battles with chronic health conditions, one of those being Endometriosis needed to have a Hysterectomy for Stage 4 Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. After her recovery in 2021 she made a brave decision to start an academy in November to bring singing to groups of children. That academy began with Gemma on her own and with only 5 children and look at what it has become!!🥹🥹
Singing became drama
Singing became dance.
Our small academy became productions.
One person became a team💜

And we became a family!

Today, what we do reaches far beyond where we started, but everything that made Born2Sing special is still right at the heart of it.

The warmth.
The inclusion.
The opportunities.
The belief in every performer.

We're not leaving our story behind. We're building on it and I am thankful for every person who has been apart of this journey.
