🎉 From T Levels to Software Engineering: Mervely Kiese’s Inspiring Journey
Mervely Kiese is making waves in the tech world, currently studying Software Engineering at Manchester Metropolitan University after successfully completing a T Level in Digital Production, Design, and Development at Cadbury Sixth Form College - part of The Sandwell Colleges.
During his T Level journey, Mervely gained invaluable skills, including problem analysis and web development, through his 315-hour work placement with The Graded Gallery. He also completed an LTSB Bootcamp, further sharpening his expertise.
Now, Mervely is setting his sights even higher:
💡 “My goal is to get an internship to further develop my technical skills in places that matter. I’m working on multiple programming projects that I’ll be sharing soon. I have a natural passion for precision and attention to detail. I aim to leverage my analytical expertise, learn from the best during an apprenticeship, and meet diverse people while traveling the world.”

Our 1st-year T-Level Digital students recently visited the Fab Lab at Cadbury Sixth Form College, part of The Sandwell Colleges. The Fab Lab is a cutting-edge creative space where learners can access advanced technologies like 3D printers, laser cutters, and more to bring their ideas to life.
The students explored Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR), connecting classroom learning to real-world tech applications. The energy and excitement were infectious, sparking ideas for their future careers. 🙌

This week, our incredibly talented Performing Arts and Music Performance students from Cadbury Sixth Form College put on a spectacular Christmas Concert for staff, friends and family. The event was filled with festive cheer as they performed a mix of Christmas classics and original material, showcasing their creativity, passion and hard work. 🎵

Our Psychology students had an amazing day at Aston University recently, exploring careers in Psychology and Neuroscience, participating in taster sessions, and seeing lab-based research in action!
The visit was packed with valuable insights into university life, career pathways, and real-world applications of cognitive psychology, perfectly tying into the current course content.

High-flying students from Cadbury Sixth Form College recently experienced the inspiring city of dreaming spires with a visit to University of Oxford.
Our students and staff explored Keble College, one of Oxford’s largest and most renowned colleges, steeped in a rich academic heritage since 1870. The day provided an engaging and insightful glimpse into life at one of the world’s most prestigious universities.
This visit aimed to inspire our students, raising their aspirations and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to maximise their potential when applying to elite institutions like Oxford.

This week, at Cadbury Sixth Form College, we welcomed Donna and Jolene from Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust - Walsall Manor Hospital and Community Health to share their inspiring journeys into the NHS and the vital role of safeguarding in the Early Years and Health sectors for .
Our T Level Health and Early Years students gained incredible insights into:

Students from Cadbury Sixth Form College recently had the incredible opportunity to dive into the world of experimental drawing with artist Ian Andrews following their visit to his thought-provoking exhibition at the The Hive in Birmingham.
Ian led an inspiring workshop, sharing insights into his creative practice and challenging students to break free from traditional methods.
Through working at various scales, they explored mark-making and rhythm while embracing their unconscious minds as their guide. This was an entirely new and exhilarating way to create for many, pushing them far beyond their comfort zones.
A truly exciting artistic experience that left our students energised and inspired!
