Year 3 have been discovering the fascinating life of Mary Anning!

As part of their learning, the children have been finding out about Mary Anning’s life, her passion for fossils and her important discoveries along the Jurassic Coast. They have researched key facts and used their knowledge to create informative Mary Anning fact files, showcasing what they have learned.

We’ve been impressed by the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm as they have stepped into the shoes of a paleontologist and explored the world of fossils!

Our Year 7 students are spending the next couple of days .adventures, teambuilding and getting to know each other better as a year group. Designing in 3D!

Our Year 3 and 4 designers have been developing their DT skills and taking their ideas into the digital world!
This week, the children were introduced to SketchUp, learning how to create their very own 3D designs. They explored different tools, experimented with shapes and began to see how their ideas could be transformed from a simple concept into a detailed digital model.
There was plenty of creativity, problem-solving and determination as they got to grips with a new piece of software!

We can’t wait to see where their designs take them next!
