In school this week, we are reflecting on the virtue of reverence. Pupils are learning that reverence means living with awareness that we are always in the presence of the Creator and that all life is precious. They are exploring how reverence can be shown through moments of prayer and reflection, by treating sacred texts and objects with deep respect, and by being still and mindful in places of worship or natural beauty, allowing a sense of wonder and gratitude to shine through.

In school this week, we are reflecting on the end of the school year. Pupils are celebrating their hard work and new learning, while also preparing for their next steps into a new year group or school. We are encouraging pupils to embrace change with confidence, resilience and optimism for the future.

In school this week, we are reflecting on the virtue of prayerfulness. Pupils are learning that prayer is a way of talking with God, which can be done in silence or out loud, through words, song or even movement. They are exploring how prayerfulness is also about quiet reflection, listening, and being open to guidance, helping us to live with awareness of our Creator in our everyday lives.

In school this week, we are holding our annual award ceremonies. Pupils will be celebrated for their achievements and contributions, with special recognition given through the Baba Puran Singh Ji Award and the Terry Green Award, honouring those who have shown exceptional service and commitment to our school community.

In school this week, we are reflecting on the virtue of justice. Pupils are learning that practising justice means being fair in all that we do and treating others with equality and respect. They are exploring how justice involves thinking carefully for ourselves, standing up for what is right, and protecting the rights of others, while understanding that it is never acceptable for stronger people to harm or take advantage of those who are weaker.

Pupils are reflecting on what it means to place trust in God and how faith can guide and strengthen us, while also learning from examples of individuals whose belief in God and virtuous living has influenced their choices and actions.

Pupils are learning about the experiences of refugees and reflecting on the courage and resilience of those who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution, while considering how we can show empathy and support for others in our global community.
