This year marks a major milestone as 15 Year 12 girls from KEHS join the KES Combined Cadet Force for the very first time. 🙌

Following strong interest from pupils, this exciting new chapter builds on more than 160 years of CCF tradition at KES. During the summer, pupils discovered the wonders of Costa Rica 🇨🇷🌿

From visiting sloth sanctuaries and cocoa plantations to spotting spider monkeys, macaws, caimans and poison dart frogs, every day was packed with adventure. 🦥 🦜

Highlights included soaring through the rainforest on a zipline and witnessing a rare green sea turtle laying eggs under the stars 🐢✨.

As part of our celebrations of our 475th year we have been connecting with the stories, artefacts, pupils and staff from the School’s past. Foundation archivist, Charlotte Gallant, looks after a treasure trove of records connected with the school's history, but we have also been delving into our very impressive Digital Archive. 📚✨

This archive is accessible to the public and contains digital copies of documents, books, Old Ed Gazettes and Chronicles dating back to the 1840s, the time of Chief Master, Prince Lee. 🏛️🔎

With easy to use browsing and search functions you can find poems, articles, ‘letters to the editor’, club, society and sports reports that offer a glimpse into the different eras of King Edward’s School.
