Using a childminder allows a child to learn and play in a home based environment. With the comfort of a home, alongside early learning resources a child can develop and grow skills, developing knowledge with confidence and familiarity. With chilled out sofas, dinner at a dinner table and a general homely feel, children can relax and learn as they go. we now have a large play cabin filled with fun resources to enhance the play. Childminders work within the EYFS framework the same as all nurserys and preschools. Caterpillars is an open plan house with a seperate educational playroom, The garden is made up of all year round facilities. We cover local schools for drop offs and pick ups, and all meals are included,
We do outings every week and the park daily. Parents have access to a safe and secure facebook group which is updated daily so you can watch what your little caterpillars have done all day. :-)

What’s coming in the future?

From September 2025 working parents of children aged 9months-4 years will be entitled to 30 hours – that is an increase of the existing offer of 15 hours up to 30 hours. Please note this is not a universal offer – parents must meet the working eligibility criteria.
