We are so proud of one of our amazing students, who has celebrated their very first Maple House birthday! 🎉
Her determination to succeed in school has been truly inspiring, and it has been a joy to watch her confidence in learning grow day by day.
When she says, “This is the best school in the world,” we like to think she might just be right 💜

A massive well done is in order for our Hemlock student who competed in his first ever race at Midland Sailing Clubs disability sailing regatta open at the weekend. Despite the extremely busy atmosphere, and some extremely challenging moments throughout he absolutely shined, finishing a very respectable 2nd placed club boat. Today, our year 10 sailing star gifted him a certificate and a medal in recognition.
This is what we love about Maple House - the connections made that build confidence in our young people and seeing our school community thrive.

🎶 She's home. 🎶
After months of careful restoration, patience, and love, our grand piano has finally returned- and the room feels alive again.
Every key now sings as it was meant to, every note carrying echoes of the past and promise for the future. This piano has witnessed countless moments, nervous first performances, joyful celebrations, quiet reflection - and now, restored to her former beauty, she's ready to create many more.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in this story, from the initial donation of the piano, to the organising and funding of the restoration to bring her back to life. Special thanks go to Martsie and Dennis for their support with this. Today we don't just welcome back an instrument- we welcome back inspiration, creativity, and the heatbeat of this space.
We cant wait to hear the music again!

Hemlock aiming high today at Creation. Nothing stands in their way, not even a huge wall 🙌
We love seeing our students rise to the challenge - physically, mentally and emotionally.
Well done 💜

This week’s menu featured steak and chips – what a treat for our students! 🍽️
But even more importantly, look at the fantastic skills they’ve been developing along the way: chopping, frying, oven baking, teamwork, and of course, enjoying the finished dish together. Well done, everyone! 👏
Just the washing up to do now.😄

Hemlock got up close with the animals at the zoological park this week.
Smiles all round on their Active Citizens trip as they explored the animals and had an extra special encounter with the lemurs.

Taking a trip through town - Both literally and metaphorically . Elm class made their way through Birmingham City Centre, to visit The Art Gallery and Museum. While in the museum they travelled through time looking at Birmingham in different periods of history. On top of this they observed the beautiful art work and saw the tribute to Birmingham's very own legend Ozzy Osbourne.
