🎉Maple House… We’re BACK This Thursday!

We can’t wait to see all our brilliant Maple House students bouncing back through the doors on Thursday! You’ll be greeted by staff smiles and familiar faces as well as some new staff ready to welcome and support you.

It’s normal school times and full uniform, please — let’s start the day looking our best, feeling positive, and ready for a fresh burst of Maple magic.

What an excellent session at Maple House School today. This was advertised as a bottle decorating activity, but it turned into so much more than that. Children got stuck into designing canvas bags and pencil cases with fabric pens, created their own bracelets and keyrings at our jewellery making station, and decorated colourful bookmarks to take home.

The focus, imagination and creativity in the room were wonderful to see. Everyone poured so much personality into their designs and the results were fantastic!

Today marks the end of our The National Lottery Community Fund sessions for the summer. Their support has allowed us to offer a wide range of inclusive activities for SEND families, the kind of opportunities that wouldn’t be possible without this funding. We’re incredibly grateful for their belief in what we do and the difference it makes to our community.

It’s also our final day at Maple House School , whose warm welcome and brilliant facilities have helped make these sessions such a success. We’re truly thankful for the partnership and the space they’ve created for our families to feel comfortable, included and able to thrive.

We’ve already been asked how many sleeps until we’re back… and we can’t wait either (October half term if you're wondering!)❤

🏆 Gold Award Success! 🏆

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Skills Builder Gold Award.

This recognition celebrates the fantastic work taking place across our school to develop the essential skills our young people need for life. From teamwork and leadership to creativity, communication and problem solving, our students build these skills every day through learning, enrichment activities and real-life experiences.

For our pupils, many of whom face additional barriers linked to SEND and SEMH needs, these skills are fundamental. By embedding Skills Builder throughout our curriculum and wider school experiences, we help students build confidence, resilience, independence and the ability to thrive both within school and beyond.

A huge well done to our incredible students and dedicated staff who have made this achievement possible.

The final couple of weeks of the summer holidays are here! ☀️

We're continuing to deliver our HAF and Maple House sessions this week, alongside a wide range of off-site activities, so there's still plenty for children and young people to enjoy before the holidays come to an end.

As we prepare for some of our young people to return to school, we're also looking ahead to welcoming families whose children won't be returning to school onto our More Opportunities Out of School programme, with a new timetable of activities coming soon.

Monday morning means the start of our next step for Renaissance Education central team as we start working from our new Head Office at Lakeside in Kings Norton. I would love to thank Vicky at Pure Offices for kindly donating lots of office desks and furniture to us, helping us to grow as a company whilst the children remain the focus of everything we do.

And just like that, another wonderful year comes to an end - School is out for summer!
