DAJJAL โ The Great Deceiver of the End Times | A Researched Islamic Post
โณ๏ธ Introduction:
One of the greatest trials (fitnah) to ever appear on earth, according to authentic Islamic teachings, is the coming of Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (The False Messiah). His appearance is one of the major signs of the Day of Judgment, and his story is detailed vividly in numerous Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ.
๐ What Does โDajjalโ Mean?
The word Dajjal comes from the Arabic root meaning "to deceive, to cover the truth."
He will be a man who deceives people with false miracles, misleading even some believers.
๐ Dajjal in the Hadith:
The Prophet ๏ทบ said:
โThere is no tribulation on earth greater than the tribulation of Dajjal.โ
(Musnad Ahmad)
In Sahih Muslim:
โHe will have with him water and fire; but his fire will be cool water and his water will be burning fire.โ
His Physical Appearance:
One eye will be deformed (blind or bulging)
The word "ูุงูุฑ" (Kaafir) will be written on his forehead โ visible only to true believers
He will claim to be a prophet, then claim divinity
He will travel the earth in 40 days:
Day 1 = 1 year
Day 2 = 1 month
Day 3 = 1 week
Rest of the days = normal days
๐ What Will Dajjal Do?
He will travel across the world spreading falsehood, performing illusions, and deceiving the masses.
He will command the rain to fall, and plants to grow, appearing to control nature.
He will perform false miracles, like reviving the dead (illusion), healing the sick, and bringing prosperity to those who follow him.
He will not be allowed to enter:
Makkah
Madinah
Masjid al-Aqsa
๐ Is Dajjal Alive Right Now?
According to an authentic hadith narrated by Tamim ad-Dari (RA):
He once visited a mysterious island where he encountered a chained man who introduced himself as Dajjal.
(Sahih Muslim)
This indicates that he may be alive, but hidden, awaiting the time Allah wills for his emergence.
๐ฅ How Will He Be Defeated?
His reign of deception will continue until Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) descends from the heavens.
Prophet Isa (AS) will kill Dajjal at a place called Lod (Ludd) near present-day Palestine.
After his death, peace and justice will prevail on earth for a time.
๐ก How to Protect Yourself from Dajjal?
Memorize and regularly recite Surah Al-Kahf โ especially the first 10 verses.
Make this powerful dua (daily after prayer):
โO Allah, I seek Your protection from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, the trials of life and death, and the evil of the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).โ
