We had an amazing time delivering during ‘Future People’

‘Future People’ focused on the Past, Present and Future and what heritage means!

Everyone had a great time creating their own future people against a Birmingham future themed background.

Participants stitched and coloured to bring their unique characters to life, with just a hint of Halloween inspiration creeping in!

hosted mending class for us at the Mac as part of the Waste Age exhibition, offering participants the opportunity to develop sustainable skills and extend the life of their clothing and textiles.

During the workshop, attendees learned essential needle skills, practiced simple stitches, and completed two basic repairs. The session was a great success, with participants thoroughly enjoying the experience and eager for more!

Feedback form the participants:

“made me feel more confident in making my own clothes and being more sustainable with clothing”
From Rodas

Chris said - “I feel confident to tackle everyday repairs!”

& Thomas “Loved this wish there were more!”

Makers Circle would like to give special Thanks to Sarah king , waste age from and for Hosting us and for leading the class.

Back in October we held a Textiles workshop with for their Creative Families Festival.

The theme of the festival was based around ‘A Child’s Voice’, by using story telling, drawing and textiles the children were able to express themselves whilst learning new skills! 🧵
