We had a fantastic day at the BKG open in Crystal Palace on Saturday!

Manpreet and Morgan gained valuable experience and learned a lot that they can take forward into their future competitions.

I am pleased to announce that Sensei Leon successfully completed his 4th Dan examination at the Sekai Budo Karate-do Renmei Kyokushin Karate Honbu Dojo in Glasgow on Monday 27th April. 👏🥋
Sensei Leoncito Armstrong began training in Kyokushin Karate at just 7 years old and became the UK’s first deaf black belt in 1999.
Leon obtained his Shodan in 1999 under Shihan Jeff Whybrow 6th Dan, and in his early years also trained and attended seminars under Hanshi Steve Arneil.
As well as his own training and achievements, Sensei Leon is always supporting the club at competitions and events, and dedicates his time to coaching and encouraging students.
Thank you to Shihan Prasanna Fernando for your guidance, support, and for conducting the grading.
An incredible achievement after 35 years of training, dedication, and perseverance.
