Today marks White Ribbon Day 2022...

This year, White Ribbon Day falls on the same week as the start of the FIFA men's world cup, and will highlight 11 traits men and boys can nurture to help create a world of equality and safety for women.

This is for White Ribbon Day 2022.

As a college, we're committed to ensuring that all of our students, regardless of gender, feel safe and supported, and there has never been a more important time for us to come together as a team to end violence against women and girls.

You can read more and take the pledge via the website - https://www.whiteribbon.org.uk/whiteribbonday22

Today we have our charity open mic event taking place in the reception area from 11am-1pm, with a lineup of some amazingly talented students.

From 2:15-3:15pm in FG20 we have a gut health talk, which is going to be super beneficial.

Wellbeing Week Update...

We're super excited for the first Wellbeing Week of the year to be taking place next week!

Every activity and trip has been over-subscribed, so unfortunately, not all students have got a space for their chosen activities. Please check your student emails, as all students have been emailed if they've got a space. If you've not been emailed, it does mean that you haven't got a place this time, due to it being first come first served.

Don't worry though, we will be doing our next Wellbeing Week in early February 2023, and then our final one in late May before the summer break.

Movember is now in full swing at BIMM Birmingham!

We had a great time hosting our launch event earlier this week, and it was great to see so many of you interested in this cause, and the message it has to share around men's health.

If you'd like to donate, visit our page here - https://uk.movember.com/team/2420120

Next week we are hosting our Movember open mic on Wednesday between 11am-1pm, and on Thursday we're having a bake sale between 10am-1pm.

There is so much to get involved in!

The BIMM Birmingham Student Services team would like to wish all of our students & staff a very happy, healthy, and prosperous Diwali 2022.

Diwali marks the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, but it is also considered a day of service for many, and generosity too.

Today marks World Sight Day 2022.

The theme this year is to love your eyes.

At BIMM Birmingham you might have noticed a change in the past few weeks? We now have braille that has been installed on every door for our blind/partially sighted students.

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness was founded in 1975, and believes in a world in which no one is needlessly visually impaired, where everyone has access to the best possible standard of eye health; and where those with irreparable vision loss achieve their full potential.
