Following the COBRA meeting, Kilukam 2020 will be happening as scheduled on Saturday 14th March. The government has clearly stated that banning public gathering is not necessary for the time being and "the scientific advice is this has little effect on the spread.ā There will be no school closures and we will all be expected to attend university.
Additionally, we cross checked the Facebook and Instagram polls, with ticket holder names and found that 71% of ticket holders want Kilukam to proceed this Saturday as planned.
Please be aware that you may be putting yourselves at risk and we are not liable for this. Upon entry, you will be required to sign a sign a self declaration form which will state that you are coming at your own risk, and that you have not visited or come into close contact with anyone who is affected or who has travelled to affected areas.
We will also be allowing ticket name changes until 12pm tomorrow (13th of March). For the ticket name to be changed, the current owner of the ticket has to message the Kilukam team the new buyers full name (as it is on their ID) and the email address to which the ticket needs to be sent to.
Please be aware that all proceeds from ticket sales for this event have been used in their entirety to cover costs, nobody from this organisation will profit from this event. Should you choose not to attend, we completely understand your decision, but we will not be offering refunds due to current government guidelines.
We also do not have an after party and cannot be held responsible for anything you do outside our official event.
Again, we want to emphasise that the safety and wellbeing of the people coming to Kilukam is our top priority. Precautions to be taken:
ā¢ wash hands for about 20 seconds with soap and hot water, or use sanitizer
ā¢ use a tissue for coughs and sneezes
ā¢ if you donāt have a tissue, use your sleeve/elbow
ā¢ avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
ā¢ avoid hugging, kissing or shaking hands with people
ā¢ stay at home if you have any symptoms of the virus e.g. dry cough, fever, high temperature, breathlessness
