Well, that walk did not go as planned π
π§οΈ
Last Thursday I headed out for a normal morning walk here in Birmingham, no umbrella, no coat, just me thinking it looked "a little grey." Within twenty minutes the sky opened up. Properly opened up βοΈ Lightning, flooded roads, ankle-deep water, the whole thing, right in the middle of the storms that hit the West Midlands that day.
I ended up walking home in the middle of the road, dodging trees, singing "I trust in God, He never fails" out loud to myself the whole way πΆπ
And that's the bit I actually want to remember from this. Not the soaked shoes. Not the mild panic under that lightning flash. But the reminder that you can plan your morning, your week, your whole month, and still walk straight into something you didn't see coming.
The storm wasn't the point. Staying steady in the middle of it was.
Made it home safe, dry clothes, warm tea, and a whole lot of gratitude π
Have you ever had a moment like this, where you had no choice but to just trust and keep walking? Tell me about it below π
