The Care Leaver Covenant was established in 2018. They work with more than 600 organisations across the country to connect care leavers with exclusive opportunities in education, work, wellbeing, money and more.

Thinking about a career as a paramedic?

Then our Paramedic Science course might be for you.

It's designed to enable you to practise confidently, competently and safely across a range of established and emerging practice settings.

You'll be provided with practice placements to develop your paramedic skills and knowledge, with placements each year of your programme. A significant proportion of these are with our partners at West Midlands Ambulance Service.

We're also committed to investing in your learning experience, so that our students have the best possible opportunities - with £2.2 million of new digital healthcare facilities ready for September 2026.

Congratulations to student Lydia, who's been awarded a Silver Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Chief Midwifery Officer (CMidO) Award! 🎉

The CNO and CMidO Awards have been developed to reward the significant and outstanding contribution made by nurses and midwives in England and their exceptional contribution to nursing and midwifery practice.

Lydia is one of our second year Adult Nursing students. As well as being a Royal College of Nursing Student Ambassador and Adult Nursing Course Representative, she's also a qualified volunteer community first responder for West Midlands Ambulance Service and sky-dived earlier this year for charity!

Big well done, Lydia! We're so proud 💙

Our Law degrees are designed for individuals who are motivated by justice and fairness. You'll discover how legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, and critical thinking shape society through law. If you choose to study LLB Law at Birmingham Newman, you'll also be completing a qualifying degree - meaning that it's recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic stage of legal training.
