Today in little Discoverers, we were exploring a creature themed tuff tray with soil.
The Children used their fine motor skills by using their fingers to feel the texture of the soil.
We also spoke about the different types of creatures we could identify to build on their speech and language skills.

This week in Explorer's it was finally time to let our beautiful Butterflies flee the nest.
Over the past few weeks, the Children have enjoyed exploring and learning about all four stages of the complete Metamorphosis of Butterflies.
We all sat down in a circle in the garden, and watched our Butterflies spread their wings and fly high in the sky.

Hi my name is Emily.
I have worked at My Friends Nursery since 2012. I initially joined as lunch cover whilst working towards my Teaching Assistant qualification.
During this time, I discovered how much I enjoyed supporting Children’s learning and development and watching them grow and achieve new milestones.
My passion for working with Children encouraged me to continue developing my own skills and experience, and I have now been the Room Leader in Pre-School since 2019.
I have always had a strong interest in early years education, having helped at my Mum’s Nursery from an early age, which inspired me to pursue a career working with Children.
I particularly enjoy working with Children aged 3-4 years, supporting them as they grow in confidence, independence, and social skills in preparation for starting school. I am enthusiastic about creating engaging learning experiences that help Children develop the key skills they need for their next stage of education while ensuring they feel happy, secure, and valued.
I am also Forest School trained and have a real passion for outdoor learning. I enjoy creating opportunities for Children to explore, take risks, build confidence, and develop their curiosity through meaningful experiences in the outdoor environment.

This week in Little Discoverer's, we started working on our Father's Day cards for our loved ones.
The Children used different coloured paints to paint their sponges, which we then used to create our prints using our fine motor skills.
