Exciting Updates from Heathview Rose Care Home!
We are delighted to announce a wonderful new partnership with Hollywood Primary School, bringing together generations through meaningful activities, friendship, and fun.
Children aged 5 to 11 will be joining our residents throughout the year to take part in a variety of engaging activities, including:
🎨 Arts and crafts sessions
🧁 Baking activities
📚 Reading together
🎃 Halloween trick-or-treat fun
🎄 Christmas carol singing
✨ And many more exciting events to come!
These intergenerational experiences will help create lasting bonds between our residents and the children, bringing joy, learning, and companionship to everyone involved.

As athletes, 5C explored the different throws including shot put and javelin. We watched some clips of professionals Olympians then explored our favourites.

This week in Reception, we began reading The Gingerbread Man. The children enjoyed a gingerbread tasting session, with the majority of children giving it a thumbs up! In Maths, we have started exploring rekenreks, practising how to put them in a ready position and move the beads effectively. Well done everyone!

As Librarians, 2B enjoyed their time at Wythall library. We discussed authors, book genres and did a genre scavenger hunt, we love our books 😊😊😊😊

In 2MT we have been doing line drawings of houses and buildings we would find around the time of the Great Fire of London. We have also been looking at identifying whether things in our environment are dead or alive in our science lessons.

As scientists, 4R have been continuing their exploration of sound in science. We did this by making telephones using different materials, to explore how the sound waves and vibrations travel to our ears! 👂🔊

This week in Maths, we have started looking at numbers 50 - 100. We played a game where we had to roll the dice and count on that amount from where their partner finished.
