I was disappointed that I was unable to find a nursery which met my high standards when looking to return to work after having my twins in 2011.

BLOSSOMS WAS BORN.....
Blossoms was my dream nursery, with an aim to providing everything, as a mother myself, I felt like minded parents would want for their children and themselves. As a qualified nursery nurse myself and my husband coming from a role as a senior managements role in a primary school, we were seeking an exceptional quality of care and education which mirrored our own values as pa

rents but we found that local nurseries failed to fulfil our high expectations. So, we established Blossoms which after12 months of planning and preparation is finally opening its doors in September 2016. The property formally a GP's surgery, has undergone a 12-month re-development involving the addition of an office and staff block, opening up the internal structure to provide spacious rooms and land scaping the entire garden at the rear and sides. We look forward to meeting you and showing you what Blossoms has to offer,

🎉🌸❤️ Wow what an incredible day we had yesterday celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Blossoms Day Nursery ❤️🌸🎉

A day full of fun, laughter, celebration and memories!

From visits off our very first children to join us 10 years ago that have now started a very new chapter of High School, to our tiny Blossoms that are only a few weeks old. Seeing everyone of you was an absolute pleasure and being involved in your lives is a blessing.

A massive thank you to our families for always being by our side and choosing us as your nursery, thank you to our amazing team who without them non of this would be possible and to everyone that made yesterday possible.

Expressive painting for our willows today.🎨

Expressive painting allows children to focus on the sensory process of creating art rather than the final product. It creates opportunity for children to use their imaginations, expand on their fine motor skills and can also enable them to express emotion through creativity, colour, and marks.

What a wonderful week we have had here at Blossoms.✨️

The children have enjoyed:
🌿 Exploring their families, people and communities.
🌿 Exploring technology and the great use it brings.
🌿 Observing, investigating and exploring animals and insects habitats.
🌿 Emotion coaching using the colour monsters.
🌿 Expanding curisoity and imagination through pretend play.

Providing learning invitations with intent and meaning is so important to support the childrens early years development!

Our curriculum experiences at Blossoms ensure the children have the opportunity to visit a variety of areas of learning through the enjoyment of play.
This week for our Story Makers session the children were invited to explore the book
‘Handa’s Surprise’

Lots of learning opportunities were created where the children were able to firstly explore the animals and vegetables that they heard about in the story.
Creativity took place when the children drew pictures of the fruit choosing the right colours and finding the images by looking through the book.

We saw some wonderful physical skills when the children carefully balanced a basket on their heads just like Handa in the story.

Following on from our nature walk earlier this week, the children used the materials found to create their very own "Nature Sensory Bottles."🍃

The children explored sound and rhythm throughout this adult led experience and demonstrated high levels of engagement and amazing concentration skills.

To explore and celebrate our love for curiosity approach learning this week we are exploring all things curiosity, alongside national play week, what a wonderful duo.✨️

The children have started off the week with a nature hunt. Each day the children will collect leaves, sticks, flowers and a range of wonderful things out in the world around us and add them to their nature bags. The children will be apart of including these items within their day-to-day play, allowing them to make choices and feel in control.🍃

We have explored our wonderful gardens today that bring so much awe and wonder to little minds and over the course of the week we will be going on lots of nature walks, exploring the world around us.
