Communicate with Me is mentioned in the new Raising the Bar PMLD standards 'Where it is not possible to directly ascertain the views of people with PMLD services should demonstrate how it attempted to do this and evidence how the service design and delivery reflect their perceived wishes, feelings, and preferences' (Goodwin et al 2015).

Over the next several years I will be conducting research for my PhD. Broadly, the research will explore 'Quality assurance and CPD of Communication and Involvement for pupils with Severe / Profound Learning Disabilities at Special Schools'.

The research will particularly explore the application and effectiveness of 'Communicate with Me' Quality Assurance Materials.

If you have ideas or things that you would like to share please be in touch.
