TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Midlands Academy of Musical Theatre are expanding our pool of teachers and would love to hear from the following for Spring 2022 onwards:

WEST END WEDNESDAYS: one off workshops from performers, dance captains, choreographers, MDs, directors, composers, agents, casting directors - acting through song or show material preferred.

ACTING TUTORS: bias towards Meisner preferred.

SPOKEN VOICE TUTORS: Estill certification a bonus, experience with spoken voice training at drama school level.

ACTING THROUGH SONG TUTORS.

We are a vocational, full time drama school and ask for those who have a genuine passion for teaching and coaching (not just topping up the pennies between jobs!) - our students are brilliant and need to be pushed, challenged and motivated by you. You will share our passion for a streamlined two year course - we don't tolerate divas and we hope you share our vision for vocational training that bridges the gap between training and employment.

One of the people that our students have worked with so far this term is MATT BOND, who recently starred as Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors at The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre, Birmingham Matt is an experienced performer who trained at the Royal Academy of Music - we are thrilled that he returned to MAMT for some acting through song work.

A massive MAMT welcome to our new and returning students!

This is the most exciting time to be training and we are completely thrilled with the cohort we have this year.

MAMT TRAINING is unique to other places. Our students know they're getting:

- Tutors actively involved in the industry who also thrive in the classroom, not just using teaching as a top up income.

- Productions every term, not "student shows" but professional, public performances which have a reputation for being 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and created by directors, MDs and choreographers from some of the greatest West End/UK tour productions.

- Dedicated 1:1 training where every student is a NAME not a NUMBER. Our incredible talent shine because they are each on their own path to performing greatness.

- 40 hours per week of the highest quality, industry training - weekly guest tutors from the West End and beyond.

- Personalised career planning and opportunities to audition for some of the biggest productions in the country through our producer-led team.

The next year is exciting - our new first years have set the bar with their first few weeks in training. Our second years are going from strength to strength and our top up year of previous MAMT students and those from other schools who want to experience MAMT's award winning training are flourishing.
