200 years ago, on 4th March 1824, John Cadbury opened his first shop in Birmingham city centre, making and selling hot chocolate among other things. George Cadbury Jnr. was John's grandson who founded Fircroft College of Adult Education in 1919, George being very keen, and taking an active role, in improving local areas of Birmingham for all who lived there - following in the footsteps of other family members. As well as being founded by George Cadbury Jnr, we are also based in his old family home with 6 acres of gardens, and the Cadbury legacy of education for all, social justice and helping people to improve their lives, is very much part of the Fircroft brand. And it all started with a small shop selling hot chocolate! To find out more about the Cadbury family's timeline of good work go to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ck79gygry3lo β˜•πŸ™ŒπŸ™
