What a tremendous lunchtime concert from In Echo!
The ensemble, featuring Gawain Glenton Music, Kinga Ujszaszi - violin, and Silas Wollston, presented a fabulous programme featuring 16th and 17th century music written for their instruments.

What a pleasure to hear Elgar being played in his eponymous concert hall!
In today’s concert, violinist Nathan Amaral and pianist George Rowley performed a wonderful programme inspired by their heritage, featuring a gorgeous Bach-inspired aria by Villa-Lobos and Elgar’s stunning Violin Sonata in E minor.
Next week’s lunchtime concert is set to be an exciting one: we’ll be joined by Gawain Glenton Music and Kinga Ujszaszi - violin from In Echo as they showcase a battle between the cornetto and the violin!

Last night's concert was absolutely spectacular!
In the final Barber Evening Concert of the 25/26 season, Solomon's Knot treated us to an evening of glorious Bach cantatas (sung completely off-copy 🤯), transporting us back to 1726.

Ahead of BCMG's Still Life concert featuring his Sound Investment commission "…and other spirits", composer George Lewis will deliver a free public lecture at University of Birmingham.
Promising a fascinating insight into his distinctive musical voice, the Columbia University professor will explore the relationship between human and machine subjectivities in his 2024 composition "The Reincarnation of Blind Tom" for orchestra, saxophone and AI pianist.

Today we were treated to a spectacular lecture-recital exploring the long tradition of art song in Wales!
Ceri Owen, our Head of Performance here at UoB, delved into the country’s rich history with the help of contralto Jess Dandy, who beautifully performed a programme of songs in the Welsh language.
Next week we are thrilled to be welcoming YCAT violinist Nathan Amaral and pianist George Rowley – don’t miss it!

What a treat to hear the fabulous Richard Jenkinson and Alexander Boyd in today’s lunchtime concert!
They presented a gorgeous programme of beautifully played Brahms and Debussy sonatas.
